Elmbridge Choir will be singing more sweetly thanks to the generosity of Howdens Joinery in Addlestone.

Musical Director, Cliff van Tonder, was delighted to accept a donation of £250 from Barry Horne, General Manager of Howdens. The funds will be used to finance a Singing Skills workshop day for all of the 190 members of Elmbridge Choir and the Elmbridge Ladies Choir.

Cliff commented, "We are very grateful to be given funding towards attending a specialist workshop as we all eager to learn some new techniques and tips. So far this year we have raised nearly £10,000 in total for The Mayor of Kingston's Charity Appeal and The Royal Marsden's Cancer Campaign and we hope our new improved singing skills will make our future concerts even more enjoyable both for us and our wonderfully supportive audiences."

As General Manager, Barry Horne says 'We support a number of local charities through our Addlestone branch.  This seemed a good way to make the money work twice - the Choir will benefit and their increased abilities will enable them to raise even more money giving better performances to their audiences on behalf of local Charities'.
