Cobham, 19 July 2009. The Elmbridge Ladies Choir, brand new sister choir to the popular
mixed-voice Elmbridge Choir, has been enthusiastically rehearsing since
February and is now ready for its first ever performance. This special
event is a riverside Summer Picnic Concert on Sunday 19th July held at the end of the Molesey Amateur Regatta on the banks of the River Thames in Hurst Park.
The audience is invited to bring a picnic, visit the bar and then be
entertained with an exciting blend of music by artists including Cher,
Sting, The Weather Girls, ABBA and fab songs from the swinging 60's.
As one of the members commented, " I decided to join the Ladies
Choir after seeing the Elmbridge Choir perform at last year's Regatta.
It was such an enjoyable and up-lifting experience and I 'm really
excited about performing in the new choir this year."
The concert, in aid of the Cobham-based charity Oasis, starts at 7pm
and tickets, £8 and under 12s £4, can be purchased online at
www.tickets.elmbridgechoir.co.uk or by calling our box-office direct on
